See California native wildlife up-close and play with science at CuriOdyssey's Community Day. The event is offers free admission and is open to the public. Programs will be kid friendly, educational, discuss environmental and conservation issues and feature live wildlife. The event will highlight the importance of California WIldlife Day as well.

In 2018 the Carmel River Watershed Conservancy in partnership with the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District hosted the inaugural Carmel celebration of California Wildlife Day CWD) featuring the legislative authors State Senator Bill Monning and Assemblyperson Mark Stone and several other founders of CWD. California Wildlife Day! will, from now on, be recognized on the Spring Equinox of each year. Join us for the second annual celebration of California’s wildlife! For 2019 the event will be held at Palo Corona Park on Carmel Valley Drive in Carmel--a new riverside park that was formerly a golf course but now is a vibrant environmental education center. The event will once again be blessed by Native American (Rumsen) leader Linda Yamane, and will have wildlife organizations' exhibits, student displays and talks, and live wildlife demonstrations. Entry and food and drinks will be free to the public once again!
